Magenta

I hope your morning tea tastes like magic
I hope he smells it in your hair
This life we lead is often tragic
I feel dark magic in the air
As the snow falls in its perfect silence
Its beauty can't compare
To your smile in those moments I've kept
I smell magenta everywhere
And I feel like the day I met you
It was meant to be
Magenta scented cardiac self expression
You've taken hold of me
Something happened in that dark November
The shadows broke from your light
I'm offering to you a sweet surrender
Though I never had the right
I'm grateful for the chance to sever
My demons deep inside
Those creatures try to hide, so clever
That sweet magenta I can't find
